30 Day Update Coming soon...

So It's been over 30 days using the Wii Fit, and My end result has been a loss of 5 lbs overall, but I put on a bit of muscle, while burning off fat. I've been extremely busy and away from the computer but look to see full updates in the next 24 hours.

All You Can Eat Wings = BIG MISTAKE

So after work today, I walked into the gym this evening ready to get in a good workout, I see a couple close friends, they talk about all you can eat wings night, My brother calls me also wanting to go get wings, We get the group together and we all go out and get all you can eat wings.

Back in my worst days I could eat like 50/60 tops, Tonight I had nearly 30 wings, and I'm regretting it, I went back to the gym trying to do cardio, and my whole entire body was aching.  Amazing how just not eating right can ruin your entire body and make you feel like crap. I Came home and weighed myself on Wii Fit and of course with all the water weight and wings sitting in my stomach, the scale said I gained 5.5 lbs since yesterday. Of course after I digest everything It'll go back down in the morning.

Eating out is the reason why America is so obese, it's so hard to control what you eat because there is so much in front of you. From now on until I hit my ideal weight of 190 lbs in the next couple months, Wings will be on my STAY AWAY List.

What's your biggest weakness when it comes to going out to eat, what's the food you just can't stop eating once you start?

Friday the 13th Update...

So this past week I was losing hope in staying motivated with Wii Fit because of it's lackluster and slow process of actually finishing workouts when you have a busy schedule. So last night I got a professional massage to aid my upper body and muscles that have been sore for the last couple months, had so many knots and strains on my back, so today I feel refreshed. Overall after losing weight and gaining some back, I'm down about 4 lbs since I first started Wii Fit but today I have a refreshed look on getting back in shape for the summer.

All Week I've back to not eating out late, My Diet hasn't been perfect but I've definitely cut back on alot of calories.

I've been waking up and having Go Lean with Fat Free Milk, Then working out, then Having a Protein Whey Shake, Lunchtime I've been eating either Chicken Breasts with vegetables, or big pieces of Salmon to fill myself up.
Yesterday around 2 pm I had a whole grain sandwich with Turkey out of the containers you can get bunched up from grocery stores. They are very filling and it's a great way to get your fiber for the day. Then been having some almonds in the late afternoon before I leave work, then I head over to the arcade and play some In The groove for more cardio, then When I get home I've either been making another Sandwich, I've been filling full and satisfied when my day is over.

I'm also doing my body a benefit by shrinking my stomach by not going out and eating big dinners like most people do. This helps long term because it keeps your mind set to eating smaller meals and helps keep your digestive system running as well as keeps you burning calories throughout the day.

So now that I'm back on track my set goal is to lose a waist size in the next 2 weeks and still aim for my goal of 10 lbs in less then 2 months. Have a great weekend everyone.

Back to Where I started

I don't know whether it's because of the muscle building in my legs or the fact that cardio has been non existent in the last couple weeks, but Wii Fit has been disappointing me...

This game is starting to wear thin, between the long overdrawn menus that take forever to get between the different exercises. For the next Wii Fit game to use the balance board, I hope they let you choose more then a few workouts to do in a row with certain rest periods set in between. I have felt a lot stronger overall but My legs and Waist have gotten a little bigger. There are different workouts for different results. If you're looking to drop massive weight through Wii Fit, You're in for a rude awakening. If you are looking to learn more about your body and get toned up a bit, then Wii Fit Really can work.
I'm going to be changing things up for now to get myself to the weight I truly Want(190 lbs, and I'm at 201.8 as of this morning). So look out for some more additions to the website as in other forms of workouts and cardio I do.

Holy Cow I gained 5.1 lbs in One Day...

What's the worst way to mess up a diet, Go to Perkins at  3 am and get Steak and Eggs with Pancakes. That is what I did wrong last night, after 2 weeks of eating rather well and dropping 6 lbs, I went out and had fun. Drinking ensued, karaoke night, then not being able to say no to late night eating with a bunch of friends. My biggest weakness is simply being in front a menu, I can't sit at a restaurant and watch people eat unless I join in. I feel like crap today and I'm going to take my diet more seriously from here on out. Another Factor can be the muscle I've been gaining from certain balance exercises through Wii Fit.
Here's proof of my disaster in one night, granted it's a lot of water weight and food going through my system, so in about 24 hours I should drop back a few pounds. Just goes to show you weight loss and success are not easy and take total discipline...

As you can see the game has a great way of tracking your progress. Definitely makes me more aware of my goals and how my body is taking place. Gives you chance to look back and see where you went right and wrong. Well off to a fun day with friends, hopefully I'll do something cardiovascular so I can work off the Perkins that I ate last night when I shouldn't of

Down nearly 6 Pounds in 15 days...

So my starting weight was 204.00 which rose to 205.6 and now I'm down below the 200 mark at 198.8 lbs and I couldn't be happier. Of course I attribute this to eating healthier again as well as using Wii Fit consistently.

I now have unlocked all of the exercises and mainly have been sticking to the Strength Exercises and Aerobics. I enjoy the a few of the Yoga ones such as the Chair and Palm Tree to get my body stretched out. A little tip, it's good to do the jogging or Step at the end of your workouts because it is proven that cardio while moving your arms improves arm strength.

I have fully recovered from being sick for the last few days, but continued to eat normally and did about 30 credit minutes of Wii Fit the past 2 days(Took off 2 days before it). I will have picture updates tomorrow morning.

Tonight I'm checking out a free preview of  Don't Mess with the Zohan with Adam Sandler movie so I might end up munching on my favorite movie theatre snack Reese's Pieces. However believe it or not, without butter, Popcorn is the healthiest snack you could get at a movie theatre. Might want to keep that in mind next time you're at the movies and stay away from the butter or Nachos.

Taking 2 days off from being Sick

So some how I got a bit of a head cold over the weekend, so I haven't been able to work out since Sunday Morning on Wii Fit, I've still been doing my daily Body Tests just to keep it consistent and I've been at about 200 lbs since Sunday(Down 4 lbs from beginning of using Wii Fit. Hopefully I'll be fully recovered by the morning and back on track...

Little Tip, You want to try to stay away from working out while you're under the weather. Your body won't really take full advantage of exercise if it's fighting off any sicknesses.

So What did you Eat this past weekend...

So now that I've been back on a better then normal way of eating, I've been enjoying my days better and feeling better from eating more then a few meals a day. First off I want to mention that I got to try the new Papa John's Whole Wheat Crust Pizza and I could not tell a single difference between the wheat or the regular doe. Pizza is my weakness, I try my best to stay away from it cause I can eat an entire box without even noticing it, but luckily I shared it with a lady friend of mine so I ate carefully. The crust tasted the same to me, so who knows if there really is any difference like they say.

Now I love Subway, No I don't want to be like Jared, but since they have created the great FootLong for 5 Dollars Deal I've been  picking up a Foot long on Wheat Sub Club Sandwich( I only put fat free honest mustard sauce, spinach(Much better then lettuce for you) and Red onions. It's great cause it's like 2 meals, I eat one half when I get to work and the other about 3 hours later while at work.) I've gone back to eating Oatmeal mixed with All bran and Go Lean cereals with skim milk in the morning before I work out, then a protein smoothie after my workouts. So all in all this weekend I didn't get crazy with eating and I felt really good about it. For my sunday night Dinner I had 3 piece dark with Chicken Noodle soup and Mixed Vegetables from Boston Market. I eat there at least 2 times a week as it's a great out of the house place to go.

So What did you eat this past weekend, what are some of your food weaknesses that you just can't seem to give up? Remember to think about what you're putting into your body, it's better for something to make you feel good rather then to just taste good for a couple minutes.

10th Day report and Pictures...

Starting Wii Fit Weight was 204.8
Current Weight is 200.4

So After 10 days I've dropped around 4 lbs which is good steady progress. It would of been a little bit more but last night I ended up cheating and drinking alcohol at a Bret Michaels Concert at Hard Rock in Orlando(Didn't have much choice lol).
Here's a picture from last night's Festivities.

So back on schedule with the Wii Fit, I did another 30 minutes of activities this morning(Total Credit Time) and I'm still enjoying it, I've added some free weights to the Aerobics Step Exercises which is great for building arm strength. You can tell from the pictures that I'm not losing crazy weight, but I'm definitely getting tone, sometimes you won't drop a lot of weight because you are building muscle which weighs more then fat, so don't let a small but steady drop fool you into thinking nothing is working...

As you can tell, I'm definitely in need of an even tan, that's what you get for driving to work everyday in Sunny Florida with your windows down and left arm out. Have a great weekend everyone, and remember to take it easy when you're ordering at a restaurant. Why not switch up french fries with some nice steamed broccoli, your body will thank you later for it.

9th Day in Report...

Wii Fit Really works!!! Yesterday for the first time I actually felt a little bit of soreness in my legs from the extensions exercises as well as my chest from the pushup challenges. Now I've been obsessed with doing pushups daily for the past 2 years, (I peak out at about 62 straight pushups), but man having to do slow pushups and planks in between takes some time getting used to. I did the pushup Challenge and the highest I could do was only 28. Now there are some exercises that are fun with the balance board, and others that well, you can do anywhere on your own without spending 2 minutes going through the menu.

I'm already noticing the changes in my body starting to take form. Weight loss is a painstakingly slow process that you have to stay dedicated too. I haven't had enough free time to log every single item I've been eating but I haven't cheated or overeaten anything yet. I will have picture updates up tomorrow morning.

At the 3 week mark I'm going to have up a full review of every exercise and what muscles and body parts they target to give people an idea of how this game can benefit everybody. If you've been using Wii Fit leave a comment on your feelings about it and if you think it's working for you.
